The cheapest options for internet are the subscriptions with an ADSL or VDSL connection. Those subscriptions have a lower monthly price. The alternative is an internet connection created with fibre or cable internet which is significantly faster but has a greater cost too. Fibre connection has the big advantage that the upload speed is much higher (equally as download speed) in comparison to the DSL connections. The biggest providers who offer Internet in Holland are Ziggo and KPN. Despite the fact that these two providers control the market, there are cheaper alternatives. Holland has many smaller providers offering cheaper internet with prices ranging from 22 euro to 30 euro a month.

Watching television in Holland requires a provider who offers their services at your address. They use different techniques to offer you digital television.

Dutch Phone services

Holland only has one telecom provider to offer you phone services. KPN controls all landline telephones and a subscription requires you to provide them identification, proof of address and residence permit. A cheaper option would be to combine your phone service with your internet subscription. Calling over the internet is cheaper than the landline from KPN. It’s a better option for anyone interested in unlimited calling within Europe.
